Where to Sell Cards in Australia — Compare Fees, Speed & Marketplaces

Selling your Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon or other TCG singles in Australia comes down to three choices: sell to a card store, list on an international marketplace, or list on a local marketplace. Here's how they compare — fees, payouts, and how fast you actually get paid — so you keep more of every card.

Questions, answered

FAQ

Where can I sell my trading cards in Australia?

You can sell to a local card store, on an international marketplace like eBay, or on an Australian marketplace like CardYardAU, which lets you list Magic, Pokémon and other TCG singles in AUD with 0% fees on your first 5 sales.

What fees does CardYard charge to sell?

CardYard charges a 4% final value fee on item price plus postage, with 0% on your first 5 sales and 3.5% on the Pro plan. The buyer protection fee (1.7% + A$0.30) is paid by the buyer at checkout.

How do I get paid when my cards sell?

Payouts go through Stripe Connect to your linked Australian bank account. Funds are held until the order is delivered or the buyer-protection deadline passes, then paid out.

Who ships the cards when I sell?

You do. CardYard is a marketplace, not a warehouse: the buyer picks a postage option at checkout and you post the card to them directly. CardYard never handles or fulfils marketplace orders.

Which card games can I sell on CardYard?

Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, One Piece, Disney Lorcana and Riftbound. More games are added as demand grows.

Can I run auctions on CardYard?

Yes. List singles as timed proxy auctions, or group multiple cards into an auction bundle where the winning bid takes the whole lot.
